A pool above the ocean
The infinity pool at Velora is the heart of the resort. Thirty-five metres long, two metres deep, lit gently from below at night, it sits at the western edge of the cliff and seems to spill into the sea. From the water you can see only the horizon. From the loungers you can see only the sky.
Because Velora has only twenty-four villas, the pool is never crowded. Most mornings you will swim alone; most afternoons you will share it with two or three other couples. There are no day passes — the pool is reserved exclusively for in-house guests.
Loungers, cabanas and a quiet bar
Twelve teak sun loungers and four private cabanas line the pool deck. Each cabana has a deep daybed for two, a small table and a button to call the bar. The pool bar serves cold-pressed juices, light lunches and our signature gin & tonic with kaffir lime through the day, and a short cocktail list from sunset onwards.
Towels, sunscreen and a small library
Egyptian-cotton towels are folded on every lounger by 06:30 each morning. Reef-safe sunscreen, after-sun lotion, cold infused water and a small library of fiction in three languages are arranged in the pool pavilion. The pool is heated to 28°C year-round and is open from 06:00 to 22:00.
